GZV #41: Logan Paul Vs Floyd MayWeather
If you know DMB, you know why this newsletter is awesome.
Summer is pretty much here. I bought tickets to two separate concerts and I am ready to go. I hope in a month or two you will be seeing this newsletter at a neighborhood BBQ.
Let me tell you about Gen Z and emails through Revelop.
Problem:
Email is old. Gen Z needs a new twist to make it better suited for our needs.
Solution:
“…a Superhuman for Gen-Z email platform focused on content instead of biz convos”
Gen Z View:
Our email looks cluttered, between internship applications, random subscriptions, and school stuff, it’s all is just a mess.
Superhuman changed the game and now Revelop is doing the same thing for Gen Z with some great features that make email easier.
Gen Z gets more content in their inbox rather than conversation. This is what Revelop is built for, content over conversation.
Some more stuff:
Currently being tested by students at Harvard, Stanford, MIT and Columbia.
Before this “the team built a college app that grew to 600k students organically & raised in 5 different countries”
Fundraising?
Yes, Pre-seed. Email me thomas@genzvoice.com if interested.
Why Are Celebrity Kids Fighting Professional Boxers?
My rough answer, I don’t really know. One thing I do know though is that they are raking in money left and right. Jake Paul fighting a retired MMA fighter generated $75 million in PPV.
I have to imagine this fight will generate upwards of $75 million in PPV, maybe even $100 million for this big of a fight.
Why is Gen Z so interested in these fights?
We grew up with these guys. Logan and Jake Paul were some of the original kids to get famous through Vine in the mid 2010’s. Since then they have gone through a roller coaster of internet fame, but now it seems they have both found a main focus.
Do you want to see Logan win or lose?
A lot of people want to see Logan get his faced caved in, but in reality I think it may actually be a pretty decent fight. I obviously think Mayweather will win, but it will shock the world if Logan does pull it off.
How do I profit from this?
Well here is something that you may or may not know. Barstool and Logan Paul are in bed together through the Barstool Sportsbook. I would have to imagine that Barstool is going to find someway to get involved in this fight. Well guess what, Penn National Holdings (a public company under the ticker PENN), holds 36% of Barstool Sports. So even though it may not move much, I would buy a few shares worth of PENN stock on the chance it generate good revenue from this fight.
Cheers!
